Certified Biblical Counselor, Biblical Spiritual & Life Coach, Biblical Counseling Supervisor/Mentor, Biblical Counseling Consultant

Sophie is a Certified Biblical Counselor and Biblical Spiritual & Life Coach. She received her Master of Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary (WTS, Philadelphia), holds an Advanced Counseling Certification (Level 3) from the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF), and an Advanced Certification from the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). She is a member in good standing of the Association of Biblical Counselors, and of a PCA church in Texas.

Sophie provides biblical spiritual & life coaching for single and married people who struggle with various difficulties in life, seeking to bring them comfort, encouragement, help, and hope in Christ by talking them through, and seeking the Lord together through the Word of God and prayer for wisdom to understand and handle them wisely. She is compassionate and has a tender heart towards those who are suffering and hurting, who struggle with various hardships and emotions (anxiety, worry, fear, depression, anger, bitterness, guilt, shame, boredom, remorse, sadness, grief, etc.), and people who have been hurt in abusive relationships. She is passionate about helping strugglers in this broken world to find healing and restoration in Christ, to live a peaceful and joyful life. She coaches in the languages of English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese and Hakka via online (video) or in-person meetings.

As a WTS & CCEF-approved Field Experience Supervisor, she mentors and supervises seminary students in counseling programs as they complete their counseling hours applying what they have been studying into practice in life and ministry. She also provides biblical counseling case consultation to people who are involved in the counseling ministry (e.g., pastors, ministers, elders, lay counselors, etc.), and she writes on various topics relating to biblical counseling and biblical spiritual & life coaching to bring comfort, encouragement, help, and hope.

Sophie is trained in the use of Scripture in individualized settings to provide biblical spiritual & life coaching from a pastoral perspective, and does not otherwise provide professional clinical counseling or professional mental health services.

Sophie lives in Texas, and loves to take long walks, read, write, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends in her spare time.
