Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

你要专心仰赖耶和华，不可倚靠自己的聪明，在你一切所行的事上都要认定他，他必指引你的路。（箴言 3:5-6）

God knows what He is doing because everything is from His good and merciful will, happening according to His plan. God is never surprised by anything, nor is he ever at a loss for what to do because all things are always under His control. We are called to trust in Him in all things, and to model that to the world around us so that they may be encouraged and helped to trust in Christ. Yet, that does not mean we should deny our emotions going through various trials in life, rather, we are called to be honest about them, and to cry out to God in the midst of our struggles or pain, seeking God’s wisdom through reading and meditating on His Word and through prayers to see them His way, not our own (sin-tainted) ways. And “He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

上帝知道祂在做什么，因为一切都是出于祂美善的旨意，在按照祂的计划进行。从来没有任何事情会让上帝感到意外或束手无策，因为一切都始终在祂掌权之下。祂呼召我们在一切的事中信靠祂，并以此为周围的人做出榜样，鼓励和帮助他们信靠基督。但是，这不代表我们应该在经历生活中的各种苦难时否认自己的情绪。恰恰相反，上帝让我们要诚实地面对自己的情绪，并在我们的挣扎或痛苦中向祂哭求，通过读经和默想祂的话语及祷告来寻求上帝的智慧，求祂帮助我们从祂的角度去看待我们的苦难和情绪，而不是从我们自己被罪败坏的角度去看待这些事情和经历。“那召你们的本是信实的，他必成就这事。”（帖撒罗尼迦前书 5:24）
