Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
God knows what He is doing because everything is from His good and merciful will, happening according to His plan. God is never surprised by anything, nor is he ever at a loss for what to do because all things are always under His control. We are called to trust in Him in all things, and to model that to the world around us so that they may be encouraged and helped to trust in Christ. Yet, that does not mean we should deny our emotions going through various trials in life, rather, we are called to be honest about them, and to cry out to God in the midst of our struggles or pain, seeking God’s wisdom through reading and meditating on His Word and through prayers to see them His way, not our own (sin-tainted) ways. And “He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24)
